MONTICELLO BLOOM — HANDMADE 1970s TOWEL VEST

Handmade in my New York studio from authentic 1970s Cannon Monticello cotton towels, this one-of-a-kind vest gives a beautiful vintage textile an entirely new life.

The original towel features a bold floral pattern in deep indigo and powder blue. Sage-green binding frames the neckline, open front, armholes and two generously sized patch pockets, while the towel’s original fringe was preserved along the hem.

This is a newly handmade garment constructed from vintage textiles—not a vintage ready-made vest.

Recommended fit: approximately unisex XS–M, depending on your preferred fit and layering.

All measurements are approximate and taken with the garment laid flat. Because this is an open-front vest, the fit is flexible. Please compare the measurements with a similar vest that fits you comfortably.

ABOUT THE MATERIAL

This vest was created from authentic vintage towels dating to the 1970s. Gentle signs of age or previous use may be present and are part of the textile’s history. The towel was carefully selected and cleaned before being transformed into this completely new garment.

CARE

Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle using mild detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry. Do not bleach or use high heat.
