INDIGO FOLK — HANDMADE DENIM BABYDOLL TOP

Handmade in my New York studio from a thrifted men’s shirt, additional thrifted fabric and recycled buttons, this one-of-a-kind top was completely taken apart, recut and reconstructed into an entirely new garment.

Lightweight indigo denim is paired with a blue-and-white geometric print across the fitted upper bodice, front bands and sleeve cuffs. A ruffled square neckline, gathered baby-doll body and softly structured puff sleeves give it a romantic shape with a little folk-inspired character.

This is a newly handmade garment created from reclaimed clothing and textiles—not a ready-made shirt with decorative pieces added.

Recommended fit: approximately women’s M.

• Chest: 20 inches flat or approximately 40 inches around
• Length from shoulder to hem: approximately 20 inches
• Best suited for a full bust of approximately 35–38 inches
• Fabric does not stretch

All measurements are approximate and taken with the garment laid flat. Please compare them with a similar nonstretch top that fits you comfortably.

ABOUT THE MATERIALS

This top was created from thrifted garments and textiles in 100% cotton denim. 

Gentle variations or subtle signs of the materials’ previous lives may be present. These characteristics are part of the garment’s reclaimed history and make it truly one of a kind.

CARE

Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle using mild detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry. Do not bleach or use high heat.
